The Assignment
In this assignment, I was tasked with creating a sample design portfolio. I aimed to convey a bold and artistic theme that exudes confidence and showcases the user's creativity and originality. This project has been a significant learning experience, teaching me the intricacies of Figma as a design tool. Throughout this journey, I encountered numerous challenges, such as component animation, which opened my eyes to the vast possibilities in design. This project not only refined my technical skills but also expanded my understanding of creative potential.

What I learned
While working on this project, I learned a lot of technical skills within Figma. Being that this was one of my first complete projects with the software, there was a lot of trial and error and learning as I went so that I could properly understand the tools. Although this design may not be perfect, I learned a lot by the end about the importance of details that as a user I never paid much attention to. Specifically, I am referring to typography. I learned that the choice of font, padding around bodies of text, and font size can vastly affect the professionalism of the interface or in this case, the theme of the interface. I wanted to give this portfolio template a bold and creative theme in the field of digital design so after some experimentation, I came up with a design for the text that accurately gave the effect I intended.
